Drifting is a simple ballad that vividly paints the picture of what a life with out God would be like. We want listeners to really listen to the words and think about where they would be without God. We realize that without God we are nothing, and if he ever left our lives then we would be "somewhere drifting..." The song is a simple plea to God, asking him to never disconnect himself from us.
